The company was founded by Shri K.K.Shah and his brothers Shri V.K.Shah, Shri J.K.Shah and Shri U.K.Shah in 1958. A family owned business, our founders and our directors belong to the Kutchi Visha-Oswal community from Gujarat, India, known for their business acumen and enterprise.

In 1969 the 2nd generation entered the business when Shri Ashok.K.Shah, the eldest son of Shri K.K.Shah joined the company. He brought in fresh management ideas and paved the way for systems and processes in the company.

Shri K.K.Shah’s younger sons, Shri Mahendra Shah and Shri Hasmukh K.Shah later joined in 1975 and brought in a fresh wave of modernization into the Company. In 1985, Shri Rajesh V Shah, the son of Shri V.K.Shah, joined the organization and started overseeing day-to-day operations.

The formal Managing Committee was formed in 1996. The Board of Directors includes Shri Ashok K.Shah as the Chairman, Shri Mahendra K.Shah as the Managing Director, Shri Hasmukh K.Shah and Shri Rajesh V.Shah as the Executive Directors. Portfolios are clearly divided among the four directors and KRAs defined, accountability established and performance measured.

To have structured accountability the organization has been divided into Regions which have been further divided into Areas. Core activities like HRD, Compliance, Finance, Operations, Sales and Marketing, FTL business, Inward sales, and IT have been Centralized at our Corporate office, with each department under the able management of our Corporate Managers.

At Group V we have introduced effective review processes through our monthly review meetings. All regional and corporate managers and the board members meet and review the minutest detail of the business through MIS. Annual Review Meetings are a regular feature in the Company where the board members visit every region, meet all the key people in the regions and understand each and every issue at grassroot level.

The organization has thus adopted a truly professional style of management.
